Moz Pro Accessibility
Making the Web Work for Everyone

When people hear “user experience design,” they often imagine a team coming together to create a new interface from scratch, something big and complex that will generate profit. That’s not the full scope of user experience though. Sometimes it means making small changes that will ripple across your user base in ways not fully realized.
The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is an organization determined to make the web usable for everyone, and that means examining the plethora of small hurdles that add up to big usability problems.
The Problem
Moz Pro was not built with accessibility in mind. Since redesigning the entire product space was out of the question, I redesigned the easiest components that would have the most impact.
The Solution
Increasing the accessibility of Moz Pro revolved around small visual cues that were missing. There was frequent use of color or iconography without a text label for clarity. This could negatively impact users with low vision or color blindness, so I proposed solutions throughout the product space.

Outcome
Accessibility is an important issue that needs to be addressed across many tools and websites. My team and I were confident that these changes created a more accessible and inclusive product for all Moz Pro users.
